Kefalat Exemption


Applications for Kefalat Exemptions (eldest son’s exemption from conscription on grounds of father’s old age) will be investigated, given that applicant had not had any service absentees unless during the period of absence, upon time of summoning or the investigation period of the applicant’s case, he had already been qualified for entitlement to Kefalat Exemption.
Generally this type of exemption is under the ideology that the mother and/or father need the assistance of their (only) son, and for example a prerequisite for Paternal Kefalat, is that the father must be above 60 years of age.
For this type of exemption, the most recent academic status of the applicant will be the determining factor, and it is therefore necessary to obtain certifications of your academic progress and status (i.e. Graduated, studying, being dropped out …), including their dates of issuance, from the respective academic institutions, and to submit them.
