Addition of ID Photos to Birth Certificate (BC)
According to law, Iranian nationals of 15 years of age and above must possess a Birth Certificate containing an ID photo. To add an ID photo to your BC, you ( the owner of the BC and the ID photo) must be present at the embassy for cross checking the photo with the actual owner of the BC, and must also in advance collect and submit the following documents upon arrival at the consular section
- A filled out copy of application form [no. 215]
- The applicant’s Iranian Birth Certificate (Shenasname).
- Any sort of document for indication of non correspondence of the details inscribed in the new BC with those in the older copy or with that of the applicant’s details as inscribed on any other ID document
- An envelope including the applicant’s postal address, along with sufficient postal stamps for the retrieval of the original documents, via express mail
