The political section of the Embassy is in charge of pursuing the internal developments and the foreign policy of the host country and provides the Capital with due reports, analyses and solutions for the conduct of bilateral relations between two countries. Other main functions of this section include coordination  of interaction between two countries and exchange of messages between the authorities of the two states on various occasions and, paving the way for reciprocal visits of diplomatic and parliamentary delegations.  
Within the framework of mutual contacts and consultations, in addition to bilateral affairs, regional matters in which both countries are interested such as Middle East, Afghanistan and also matters such the status of Muslims and the phenomenon known as anti-Islamism, human rights, combating the terrorism and drug smuggling are dealt with. Explaining the viewpoints in our foreign policy to Dutch authorities is another aspect of function in this section.
